Areeya Accounting and Law Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") respects the privacy of every visitor and user of www.areeyaacl.com. This notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (the "PDPA").

2. Definitions

  • Personal data — information relating to a person from which that person can be identified, directly or indirectly.
  • Data subject — the person to whom the personal data relates.
  • Visitor — anyone who opens or reads pages on our site.
  • Client / user — anyone who requests our services or submits information via contact form, email, phone, or other channels.

3. Personal data we collect

We may collect the following when you contact us or use our services:

  • Contact details: full name, email, phone, Line ID, address
  • Business details (for accounting/tax/registration work): legal entity name, tax ID, office address, financial and accounting records
  • Website usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, visit time, pages viewed, and cookie data (see the Cookies Policy for details)
  • Messages you send through the contact form, email, or other channels

4. Purposes and legal bases for processing

We process your personal data under the following PDPA legal bases:

  • Contract (§24(3)) — to enter into and perform services you request, including bookkeeping, tax filing, auditing, company registration, and quotations.
  • Legal obligation (§24(6)) — to comply with applicable law, including the Revenue Code, the Accounting Act, and relevant tax laws.
  • Legitimate interest (§24(5)) — to improve the site and services, keep our systems secure, and respond to enquiries.
  • Consent (§19) — for non-necessary cookies, direct marketing, and newsletters you opt in to.

5. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell or disclose your personal data to third parties, except:

  • With your consent;
  • Government agencies empowered by law — e.g. the Revenue Department, Ministry of Commerce, Social Security Office — as required;
  • Service providers we use to run the site, under data-processing agreements aligned with the PDPA — e.g. Google Maps (office location) and LINE (contact channel);
  • Legal or audit advisors, within the scope needed to serve you;
  • Upon court order or a valid government request under law.

6. Cross-border transfers

Servers for Google Maps may be located outside Thailand. Such transfers rely on the receiving provider's own data-protection standards, which meet the PDPA's adequacy requirements.

7. Retention periods

  • Client data and accounting/tax records: kept for the period required by law (generally no less than 5 years for accounting records under the Revenue Code).
  • General contact data: up to 3 years from last contact, unless you have consented to longer retention.
  • Cookie data: as stated in the Cookies Policy (maximum 12 months for consent records).

After that, data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymised.

8. Your rights as a data subject

Under the PDPA, you have the following rights:

  1. Right to be informed about what data we collect and why.
  2. Right of access and to request a copy (§30).
  3. Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or outdated data (§36).
  4. Right to erasure — deletion when no longer necessary (§33).
  5. Right to restrict processing in certain cases (§34).
  6. Right to object to processing (§32).
  7. Right to data portability (§31).
  8. Right to withdraw consent previously given (§19).

9. Right to complain

If you believe our processing does not comply with the law, you have the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee Office (PDPC)www.pdpc.or.th.

10. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access, use, alteration, or disclosure — including HTTPS transport encryption, need-to-know access controls, and staff training.
